Job summary

Arquitectonica in Miami seeks a Project Designer with a minimum of five years of architectural work experience to join our design-focused team. You will contribute to early design stages on a variety of projects within a collaborative, multi-disciplined environment.

The role emphasizes front-end design work, coordination with consultants, and proximity to the Miami office with no remote work. Relocation is not provided.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in architecture or related design field; master's degree preferred.
• Actively pursuing or has completed NCARB ARE testing and licensure.
• 5 years of architectural work experience; 3+ years in multi-family residential and commercial projects preferred.
• Knowledge of Florida building codes.
• Detail oriented with ability to flag and correct issues.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage daily tasks independently; manage junior staff.
• Excellent communication and ability to present design ideas.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, finalize, and present project designs using 2D and 3D software including AutoCAD and Revit.
• Work on floorplans, sections, elevations, massing and area tables.
• Review designs as parameters solidify and make adjustments.
• Collaborate with team leaders, team members, and clients to ensure accuracy.
• Coordinate with project consultants and government departments.
• Research and incorporate artistic elements into designs as needed.
• Ensure design specifications comply with building and zoning codes and other project requirements.
• Liaise with professionals, consultants, and clients to coordinate project details.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required.
