Job Title: Project Designer / Designer II
Crawford Architects is seeking a Project Designer/Designer II to join our growing Kansas City office. In this role, you will assist in the overall efforts of various project phases, including architectural design, documentation, and construction administration. Essential responsibilities include:
- Perform architectural assignments under the supervision of firm principals and project managers in a dynamic environment.
- Mentor, assist, and collaborate with the architectural design team to achieve project goals.
- Engage in architectural design, development, and documentation.
- Develop, modify, and review drawings according to standards.
- Review developer’s architectural documents for compliance with design standards.
- Ensure quality assurance across all project phases in line with QA/QC and best practices.
- Communicate design intent, product, and code research into technical documents.
- Assist with feasibility studies, concept design, programming, and master planning.
- Provide construction administration services to oversee project completion.
- Develop As-Built drawing sets for clients.
- Produce digital renderings and 3D models.
- Create concept diagrams and 2D images.
- Coordinate project information with clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and construction teams.
- Create graphics and research information for marketing and promotional materials.
- Mentor and direct Junior Designers in developing solutions following standards.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor of Architecture from an accredited institution; a Master of Architecture (MArch) is preferred. Architecture license is preferred but not required.
Experience
5-10 years of experience in architecture, design/documentation, or related fields.
