Job summary

MG2 Design in Seattle, WA is seeking a Project Designer (Level 2) to join our Community Environments Market team. You will assist with original design concepts for new construction and major renovations, contributing to the production of construction documents and design deliverables to ensure continuity across design phases.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s in architecture, 6+ years of experience, proficiency with Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD, and visualization tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in a professional architecture or design firm.
• Certification as a licensed professional preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in design production and 3D visualization.
• Understanding of the relationship between design and constructability.
• Proficiency with Revit, Sketch-Up, Auto-CAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Affinity, VRay and Enscape.
• Experience selecting both interior and exterior materials.
• Experience with sustainable material sourcing and documentation of embodied carbon preferred.
• Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.

Responsibilities

• Assists with generation of original design concepts and completion of design deliverables including preliminary design documentation, conceptual plans and elevations, 3D renderings, and exhibits.
• Collaborates with architectural and design staff on projects of various types and scales.
• Coordinates project deliverables with external consultants and project partners.
• Conducts design research from benchmarking sources for ideation and provides detailed design documentation to architectural project teams.
• Contributes to QA/QC reviews of design deliverables and architectural construction documents to maintain design intent.
• Assists with generating project specifications and coordinates with Interior Designers as required.
• Contributes to Construction Administration procedures including review of RFIs and project submittals.
• Contributes to production of design deliverables used in RFP/RFQ responses and marketing proposals.
