Job summary

MG2, an affiliate of Colliers Engineering & Design, is seeking a Project Designer (Level 2) in Seattle, WA to design and deliver healthy, thriving mixed-use communities. You will contribute to design concepts, 3D renderings, and construction documents across multiple project phases.

The role emphasizes collaboration with architecture staff, understanding constructability, and producing detailed design documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in a professional architecture or design firm.
  • Certification as a licensed professional preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in design production and 3D visualization.
  • Understanding of the relationship between design and constructability.
  • Proficiency with Revit, Sketch-Up, Auto-CAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Affinity, VRay and Enscape.
  • Experience selecting both interior and exterior materials.
  • Experience with sustainable material sourcing and documentation of embodied carbon preferred.
  • Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job‑related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with generation of original design concepts and completion of design deliverables including preliminary design documentation, conceptual plans and elevations, 3D renderings, and exhibits.
  • Works collaboratively with architectural and design staff on projects of various types and scale, understanding jurisdictional requirements, client standards, constructability, and programmatic guidelines.
  • Possesses working knowledge of architectural construction documents and assists with production level efforts including consultant design integration.
  • Coordinates project deliverables with external consultants and project partners.
  • Conducts design research from benchmarking sources for ideation and provides detailed design documentation to project teams.
  • Contributes to QA/QC reviews of design deliverables and architectural construction documents to ensure design intent.
  • Assists with generating project specifications and coordinates with Interior Designers as required.
  • Contributes to Construction Administration procedures including review of RFIs and submittals.
  • Contributes to design deliverables for RFP/RFQ responses and marketing proposals.
  • Participates in efforts to build and support a design culture at MG2 with adherence to design rigor standards.
  • Produces accurate and timely work in accordance with project schedules and budgets.
