Job summary

Jobtailor in Phoenix, AZ seeks an experienced Architect to lead design for commercial and industrial projects. You will work with clients to define goals, develop options, and guide design through construction.

Responsibilities include coordinating with PMs, directing junior staff, and ensuring quality and compliance with building codes. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in architectural design
• Experience working on commercial or industrial projects preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or related field
• AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, Sketch-up and Revit skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and Newforma
• Ability to coordinate a complete set of contract documents strongly preferred
• Experience presenting to clients
• Knowledge of building codes

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to develop ongoing relationships and determine project goals
• Develop design options for site and building projects
• Coordinate with Project Managers and direct junior team members in documenting design
• Follow projects from inception through construction to maintain design quality and intent
• Coordinate the Interior Design team for spec buildings to provide cohesive design
• Understand project work plans and budgets and meet expectations for hours and deliverables
• Develop conceptual and schematic designs aligned with client goals and vision
• Present design options and foster strong client relationships
• Contribute to value engineering, submittal reviews, consultant coordination, and drawing set reviews
• Maintain design intent and quality throughout each project stage
