Job summary

Moseley seeks an experienced Project Interior Designer to join the interiors department in North Carolina, based in Raleigh or Charlotte. The role requires strong Revit skills, 6+ years of commercial interior design experience, and NCIDQ with LEED preferred.

Responsibilities include leading design efforts, producing construction docs, coordinating with clients, and mentoring junior staff. Hybrid work model offered after introductory period.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design from a CIDA accredited university required.
  • 6+ years’ experience in commercial interior design.
  • NCIDQ and LEED preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary interior designer as appropriate under the guidance of senior interior designers.
  • Provide consistent and timely communication of project information to and from clients and project teams.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop design solutions and execute the production and implementation of interior design for assigned projects.
  • Research product and resource information.
  • Develop project presentations and participate in client meetings.
  • Prepare construction documents and furniture/accessory packages.
  • Conduct site visits to perform installation inspections.
  • Participate in mentoring and coaching of emerging professionals.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Education

Job description

We are seeking an experienced full-time Project Interior Designer to join our interiors department in North Carolina in either Raleigh or Charlotte office.

What’s needed:

6+ years of commercial interior design experience, strong Revit skills, intermediate proficiency in MS Excel, knowledge of ADA and general codes, and an eye for color and detail. Ideal applicants will hold NCIDQ certification and be motivated to learn and grow.

Location: Raleigh or Charlotte, NC (27603; 28277)

Required Skills:
  • Capable of working professionally in a collaborative team environment to develop and document the project’s design while meeting established project schedules
  • Diligence in monitoring progress, identifying potential issues, and designing solutions as necessary
  • Excellent listening skills with the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Knowledge of ADA and general code compliance
  • Proficient knowledge of applicable sustainability principles
  • Knowledge of quality control processes
Software Proficiencies:
  • Autodesk Revit (BIM) experience required
  • Bluebeam/Revu experience preferred
  • SketchUp experience preferred
  • Lumion experience preferred
  • Specsource experience preferred
