WHAT WE NEED:

  • Performs accounting duties including tracking expenses, preparing purchase orders, processing invoices, maintaining accounts, tracking grant and general funds, and updating budgets.
  • Tracks multiple project plans utilizing project management principles and tools supported by the organization.
  • Maintains files, records, and databases (including confidential information); supports operations and procedures; and assists with developing presentations and materials.
  • Takes a lead role in maintaining communication within and between team members and departments, as well as creating annual customer service surveys and annual reports to district.
  • Leads planning and execution of events and activities; manages logistics, materials scheduling, and registration; and supports department meetings and collaborative decision-making with department/unit members and stakeholders.
  • Provinces in-person and phone assistance while also supporting budget development, management, and documentation.
  • Oversees workshop and operational funds, coordinators projects, prepares contracts, and manages staff travel and professional memberships.
  • Provides administrative support, including copying materials, digital messaging, and ordering supplies, as needed.
  • Assists with new employee onboarding and training procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assign

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Two to three years of experience in an office setting; project management experience preferred
  • Strong computer software skills including Google Applications and Microsoft Office Suite.

This position is eligible to participate in the Flexible Work Program, which allows eligible employees to perform their job duties from a designated alternative location up to two days per week.

SALARY DETAILS:

$22.10 - $25.63 hourly based on relevant prior work experience, with the potential to earn up to $27.59 after employment with Oakland Schools.

Non Exempt position / 12-month work year.

Please note that salary schedules will be updated effective July 1, 2025, for the upcoming fiscal year.
