A research position in the field of neuroscience and visual sciences is available. Our laboratory uses the mouse retina as a model system to investigate the neural network and its physiological significance. We are looking to hire lab personnel to conduct and assist calcium imaging, patch clamp recordings, immunohistochemistry, and molecular biological studies. Motivated young and old scientists are encouraged to apply. Experiences with animal research are preferable. Research experience in the visual system and neuroscience is preferred but not required.Essential Functions:Assisting calcium imaging and patch clamp recordings from neurons in the mouse retina.Performing intraocular virus injection to mouse eyes.Conducting immunohistochemical study using confocal microscopy.Assisting lab maintenance, such as making experimental solutions, maintenance of chemicals, and set-up with equipment.
BS, PhD and/or equivalent.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work both in a team environment and independently.Experiences in neuroscience or vision research.
