Job summary

MCL Construction is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to own the full lifecycle of commercial construction projects from planning to completion. You will coordinate budgets, schedules, and design decisions with architects, engineers, estimators, and owners to Move projects forward with confidence.

You will lead preconstruction efforts, maintain budget discipline, and drive on-schedule delivery while building strong client relationships and delivering quality outcomes across site visits and team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in project management or preconstruction within commercial construction.
• Experience with design-build or design-assist delivery methods.
• Solid understanding of construction budgeting, scheduling, and process from the ground up.
• Proficiency with project management tools and software.
• Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 20%) and visit active job sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of the complete project lifecycle, ensuring each project finishes on time, within scope, and on budget while meeting quality and business goals.
• Keep preconstruction and design moving — aligned, on budget, and on schedule — from first sketch to final GMP.
• Take ownership of preconstruction schedules, budgets, and deliverables from day one.
• Engage architects, engineers, estimators, and consultants to keep project objectives aligned.
• Track timelines and milestones, and flag risks before they become problems.
• Coordinate design reviews across disciplines and support feasibility studies, value engineering, and constructability reviews.
• Coordinate GMPs and lump-sum values with design-build and design-assist subcontractors.
• Build strong client relationships through responsiveness and follow-through.
