DBR is seeking an experienced project leader in Dallas to drive profitable architectural/engineering projects. The role emphasizes client service, business development, and effective staff utilization across multiple disciplines, with a focus on delivering quality work and maintaining strong client relationships.

Ideal candidates have an engineering background, strong communication skills, and a track record of managing schedules, budgets, and contract negotiations.

Qualifications

• College degree in mechanical, electrical, or architectural engineering with an emphasis in HVAC, building electrical, or plumbing, or fire protection.
• Minimum 5 years of experience or 10 years without a degree.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and general office equipment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; dependable and punctual.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and pursue priority BD opportunities to increase revenues, then execute the work to client satisfaction.
• Oversee client/proposal tracking, RFx responses, SOQs and proposals.
• Prepare labor estimates, schedules, and data; assist in fee proposals and negotiations; manage contracts.
• Coordinate with building officials and ensure code and zoning compliance.
• Review documents for milestone submissions and client delivery.
• Provide engineering oversight across disciplines and guide staff.
• Contribute to design efforts to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Maintain project records and ensure proper invoicing and documentation.
• Engage in ongoing learning and perform other duties as needed.
