Wenger Corporation in Owatonna, MN is seeking a Project Cost Estimator to promote sales by providing technical information, bids, and pricing on projects. This position supports assigned sales regions and coordinates with multiple departments to deliver accurate estimates.

The hybrid role requires working in our Owatonna, MN facility on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, with home office days on Wednesdays and Fridays. Candidates must reside within a reasonable driving distance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of work experience.
• Ability to read architectural drawings.

Responsibilities

• Provide estimating support to assigned Sales Region(s).
• Supply recommendations for product application solutions for specific project requirements.
• Coordinate information requests for drawings, cost estimates, etc., with other company departments.
• Provide technical information and proposals for developing projects.
• Make pricing decisions and estimation within prescribed limits on a project-to-project basis.
• Prepare and distribute quotes/bids on projects.
• Record and reporting bid activity in assigned regions.
• Reviewing and negotiating customer contracts to verify accurate scope of work.

Job Details: Job Location: Corporate Headquarters - Owatonna, MN 55060, Position Type: Full Time, Hybrid, Salary Range: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 Salary/year, Travel Percentage: None, Job Shift: Office Hours, This is a structured hybrid position which requires working in our Owatonna, MN facility: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Wednesdays and Fridays are home office workdays. Therefore, candidates must reside within reasonable drivable distance to the facility.

Our team in Owatonna, MN is seeking a Project Cost Estimator to promote sales of Wenger Corporation products on a profit basis by providing technical information, sales proposals, and bids to prospective customers.

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• 2 years work experience
• Interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to learn product/application knowledge
• Ability to make decisions involving complex sales/profit relationships
• Ability to read architectural drawings
• Demonstrated computer skills
• Ability to prioritize work assignments and to operate with continually changing priority needs

Highly qualified candidates may also possess:

• A college degree
