Job summary

Wenger Corporation in Minnesota is seeking a Project Engineer to contribute to the concept and creation of structural/mechanical designs that meet technical requirements, cost and schedule targets. You will work to interpret drawings, develop CAD models, and collaborate across Engineering, Production, and Sales to ensure timely project delivery.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field, CAD proficiency, and experience with 2D/3D design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.
• Design and development experience in a team environment to satisfy project requirements.
• Ability to interpret architectural and mechanical drawings/blueprints and perform CAD modeling.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and develop drawings with proper dimensions, tolerances and materials per standards.
• Perform 3D solids modeling as needed.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Production to resolve complex issues and meet schedules.
• Assist in stress, weight distribution, CG, and related calculations.
• Maintain clear project definitions and records through design to implementation.
• Serve as the project point person to Manufacturing, Sales and Wenger departments.

This is a structured hybrid position which requires working in our Owatonna, MN facility: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Tuesdays and Fridays are home office workdays.
