Job summary

Hargrove is seeking a Cost Manager to oversee all project cost control activities for capital and maintenance projects. You will provide cost forecasting, reporting, budget monitoring, and financial analysis to ensure projects stay within approved funding.

You will partner with Project Managers, contractors, accounting, and client stakeholders, develop forecasts, cost reports, and dashboards, validate invoices, and support earned value management and month-end close.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in project controls, cost control, cost management, project accounting, or related roles.
• Experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, chemical, power, or capital project environments.
• Strong knowledge of cost reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
• Track actual expenditures, commitments, and forecasted costs against approved budgets.
• Identify cost variances and provide recommendations to mitigate risks.
• Monitor project performance and communicate financial status to project leadership.
• Prepare monthly cost reports and dashboards for management review.
• Validate contractor and vendor invoices for accuracy and compliance with contract requirements.
• Support earned value analysis and project performance measurement.
