Job summary

Ragle Incorporated is seeking a Project Cost Accountant to manage costs across multiple construction projects in Indiana. The role collaborates with project managers and field teams to ensure accurate budgeting, reporting, and financial integrity in a fast‑paced environment.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's in accounting/finance, 3+ years in construction cost accounting, and proficiency with Sage or Viewpoint and advanced Excel skills. Travel to sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field required.
• 3+ years in construction cost accounting or heavy civil projects.
• Strong knowledge of job costing, budgeting and forecasts.
• Proficient in Sage/Viewpoint and Excel for data analysis.
• Analytical, organized and capable of teamwork under deadlines.
• Travel to project sites as needed; safety‑minded culture.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze project costs to align with budgets and forecasts.
• Prepare cost reports, variances, and financial projections for projects.
• Assist in budgets, change orders, and contract negotiations with data.
• Track progress through cost coding and AP/AR reconciliation.
• Collaborate with PMs and superintendents to review cost performance.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and audits.
• Use ERP systems to maintain real‑time financial data and reports.
• Support month/year end closes with accruals and allocations.
• Contribute to process improvements in cost accounting practices.
