Job summary

The Child Health and Development Institute (CHDI) in Farmington, CT is seeking a Project Coordinator to advance Connecticut's behavioral health initiatives, including SBIRT and quality improvement. The role emphasizes training development, data collection, and collaboration with partners to implement evidence-based practices.

You will coordinate trainings, manage materials, and support data reporting while traveling within the state as needed.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in psychology, public health, social work, alcohol and drug counseling, education, child/youth development, or closely related field; or bachelor’s with relevant experience.
  • Understanding Connecticut’s youth behavioral health, including substance and co-occurring disorders, youth and family treatment and prevention services.
  • Experience with partnership development, project coordination, and program implementation.
  • Experience with data sources, interpreting and utilizing data for program development and/or quality improvement activities.
  • Experience using design programs (e.g., Canva) to develop slideshows, infographics, briefs, etc.
  • Experience with data collection through surveys, focus groups, and/or interviews preferred.
  • Experience coordinating online asynchronous trainings preferred.
  • Must be extremely organized, efficient, and a strong team player.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other software applications (e.g., Alchemer, Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
  • Additional skills include: EBPs for substance use, quality improvement, grant writing, data visualization.

Responsibilities

  • Communicating with partners, through workgroups, meetings, advisory councils to understand needs, support implementation, and identify proposed solutions.
  • Supporting the development of trainings (e.g., identifying experts, designing slides, editing videos, uploading to LMS) and materials to support implementation (training materials, briefs, reports).
  • Coordinating trainings to support implementation activities, including locating venues, registration, managing CEUs, providing support at trainings, and arranging refreshments.
  • Reviewing literature and connecting with subject matter experts to understand best practices.
  • Collecting data through surveys, focus groups, and interviews.
  • Working with CHDI staff to develop data collection, analysis, and reports using quantitative and qualitative data approaches; producing high-quality data reports.
  • Maintaining data and records necessary to complete required funder reports.
  • Scheduling, convening, and facilitating virtual and/or in-person team and workgroup meetings.
  • Updating the team on progress toward deliverables at internal and external meetings.
  • Communicating findings to internal/external stakeholders through reports, CHDI publications, and peer-reviewed publications.
  • Participating in committees, workgroups, and meetings with partners.
  • Providing technical assistance and support as needed.
  • Assisting with other aspects of the initiative and CHDI’s work, including administrative and operational support as needed.
  • Traveling occasionally within the state, as required.
