CobbFendley is seeking an experienced Telecommunications Project Coordinator in our Albuquerque, New Mexico office.
Requirements
Experience & Knowledge, Skills & Ability (KSA)
Emerging Experience – Basic understanding with 1+ year of AEC Professional experience; requires guidance and supervision.
- Knowledge: General project management methodologies and lifecycle; industry standards; city, state, and federal rules and regulations; tools and software such as Microsoft Suite, Vantagepoint, Smartsheet, Google Earth, Adobe, and Bluebeam; quality management.
- Skills: Initiative, communication, time management with strict deadlines, organization, ability to juggle competing priorities, attention to detail, problem solving.
- Ability: Think strategically, adapt to competing priorities, execute and delegate, communicate and collaborate, perform tasks accurately.
Complexity & Decision‑Making Authority
- Responsible for success of certain tasks in part of moderate project(s).
- Independently performs most assignments with oversight from supervisor and project managers.
Responsibilities
- Setup and close out projects assigned by the Project Manager in adherence with company guidelines.
- Assist Project Manager with weekly review of time charged to projects and coordinate with the project team to correct issues.
- Assist Project Manager with invoicing and accounts receivable, including invoice review, subconsultant invoice compliance, submission, collections, and reporting on unbilled or outstanding accounts.
- Develop and maintain spreadsheets for budget and schedule tracking, including weekly progress updates, meeting minutes, comment logs, change order log, submittal log, and schedule updates.
- Monitor and elevate concerns related to financial aspects of projects to ensure healthy project financials and meet company goals such as utilization and effective multiplier.
- Facilitate new and existing client and subconsultant contracts, including scope and fee modifications (Change Orders).
- Provide document control support to ensure effective and accurate project document management (permit coordination, RFI tracking, right of way correspondence).
- Prepare and file project related documents, reports, and estimates.
- Attend meetings and coordination efforts with internal or external clients as requested.
- Coordinate with various utility owners, municipalities, subcontractors, and team members throughout the project.
- Assist project team to identify jurisdiction permitting processes, prepare and submit applications, track and manage permit status and approvals, and elevate permitting issues.
Technical
- Ensure all project attributes and variables are properly input according to contract requirements and jurisdictional permits.
- Provide high level support to Project Managers and Leads.
- Assist with filing and document preparation for the department.
- Contact and request drawings, documents, etc. from utilities, municipalities, etc.
- Attend team meetings, meetings with clients and jurisdictions.

Expected Work Hours
- This is a full‑time position, generally 40 hours per week; hours may fluctuate depending on department needs, including overtime.
- CobbFendley’s standard operating hours are Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM CST; employees receive a 1‑hour unpaid lunch break. Hours may differ for field staff based on workload.
Work Location Flexibility
- This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule after the training period is complete.
