Job summary

American Electric Power is seeking a Project Coordinator/Analyst to assist in managing intermediate and complex projects within a safe, efficient framework. Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate with relevant experience in outages, project controls and construction management.
• Knowledge in construction safety, negotiations, scope development and control, cost estimating, contracting, and reporting.
• Familiarity with PMBOK Project Management tools and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating assigned project activities.
• Perform coordination and administrative tasks as delegated by the lead project manager.
• Act on behalf of the lead project manager during times the project manager is unavailable.
• Support and hold employees and contractors accountable for the AEP System Safety Process, ensuring a safe working environment.
• Develop and coordinate the project plan, schedule, budget, tools, and staff.
• Lead planning meetings and project/outage updates with supportive role in stakeholder presentations.
• Provide clear and concise written and oral reports and other communication.
• Develop working relationships with the project team, plant staff, contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
