Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a background in swimming pool construction to oversee projects from contract signing through successful completion.

The Project Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the construction process, managing project communication, permitting, scheduling, inspections, field coordination, and closeout.

This role requires a highly organized, customer-focused professional who can manage multiple projects, coordinate subcontractors and field teams, resolve on-site challenges, and ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.

Prior experience managing swimming pool construction projects is required. Experience using JobTread is strongly preferred.

Education/Experience

• Previous experience managing swimming pool construction projects is required.
• Proven experience managing construction projects from contract signing through project completion.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, field teams, inspections, and construction schedules.
• Experience managing permitting and project documentation.
• Experience working directly with residential customers and homeowners.
• Previous experience mentoring or supporting junior Project Managers is a plus.
• Experience using JobTread or similar construction project management software is preferred.

Responsibilities

Customer & Project Ownership

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage projects from contract signing through construction completion and closeout.
• Maintain clear, timely, and professional communication with customers.
• Set clear expectations with homeowners regarding project timelines, payment milestones, and construction stages.
• Provide regular project updates and maintain transparency throughout the construction process.

Project Planning & Coordination

• Manage permitting, scheduling, inspections, construction activities, and project closeout.
• Coordinate closely with leadership, construction teams, field personnel, and subcontractors.
• Ensure projects remain on schedule, within budget, and aligned with quality expectations.
• Track project milestones and maintain accountability for tasks through completion.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, project progress, and job activities.
• Track and maintain progress photos and other project documentation.

Scheduling & Field Management

• Coordinate and sequence work for field teams and subcontractors.
• Ensure trades and construction activities are properly coordinated to minimize downtime and delays.
• Monitor project progress and proactively address scheduling challenges.
• Quickly identify and resolve on-site issues through effective communication and solutions-oriented problem solving.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure efficient project execution.

Process & Systems Management

• Maintain accurate project notes, documents, and progress logs using JobTread or other project management systems.
• Use phone, email, and approved communication platforms to keep customers, field teams, and subcontractors informed.
• Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, communication, and project quality.
• Assist in developing and documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Support efforts to improve workflows between sales, permitting, operations, and construction.

Team Development

• Provide coaching, troubleshooting support, and feedback to junior Project Managers.
• Partner with leadership to support training and development programs for new Project Managers.
