Job description

The Project Manager is the operational heartbeat of each project — owning the customer relationship from contract signing through project completion. You’ll serve as the main point of contact for your clients, managing permitting, scheduling, inspections, and all construction communication.

You’ll coordinate closely with the General Manager, Construction Manager, and field team to ensure every project runs smoothly, stays on budget, and reflects Craft Master’s commitment to excellence. As a leader, you’ll also mentor junior project managers and help refine systems and processes as we continue to scale.

Key Responsibilities
Customer & Project Ownership
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all customers in your project pipeline — ensuring timely updates, transparency, and professionalism throughout the build.
  • Manage projects from contract sign to construction completion, including permitting, scheduling, inspections, and closeout, ensuring task-to-completion accountability.
  • Set clear expectations with homeowners on timelines, payment milestones, and project stages.
  • Maintain consistent communication with customers through JobTread or approved communication channels.
Scheduling & Field Coordination
  • Work collaboratively with the General Manager and Construction Manager to schedule and sequence work for the field team and subcontractors.
  • Ensure all trades are coordinated efficiently to prevent downtime and project delays.
  • Track project milestones, inspections, and progress photos to maintain accurate job records.
  • Quickly identify and resolve on-site challenges with proactive communication and solutions-oriented thinking.
Process & Systems Management
  • Maintain accurate notes, documents, and progress logs in JobTread or other project management tools. Use phone, email, and other communication methods to keep customers and our team of field teams/subcontractors informed.
  • Identify process gaps and propose improvements that enhance efficiency, quality, and communication across teams.
  • Assist in documenting standard operating procedures (SOPs) for future scalability.
  • Support company-wide efforts to streamline workflows between sales, permitting, operations, and construction.
Team Building
  • Offering coaching, troubleshooting help, and feedback.
  • Partner with the General Manager to build and implement training programs for new project managers.
  • Model professionalism, accountability, and strong customer service at every step.
