Job summary

Acoufelt LLC in Auburn Hills, MI, is seeking a Project Coordinator to oversee architectural product projects from Closed Won through delivery, ensuring contract values, cost benchmarks, and client satisfaction.

You will be the main contact for clients, coordinating with Finance, Design, Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing and Logistics to meet milestones, approvals, and documentation, while supporting marketing with case studies. This is an in-person role at headquarters in Auburn Hills.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of project coordination, customer service, or construction administration experience.
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects up to $50,000.
  • Strong communication skills for client and cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with project management tools, CRM systems, and MS Office.
  • Attention to detail and proactive problem solving.

Responsibilities

  • Primary Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers on assigned standard projects, providing timely communication and project updates.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate standard projects from the 'Closed Won' stage through completion, ensuring schedules and customer expectations are met.
  • Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams such as Finance, Project Design, Procurement, Project Engineering, Manufacturing, and Logistics to meet project deadlines and specifications.
  • Client Support: Provide ongoing customer support throughout production, shipping, and project closeout.
  • Project Updates: Deliver timely project status updates and communicate any potential issues or delays to both clients and internal teams.
  • Timely Approvals: Coordinate customer approvals for standard submittals and documentation as required. Escalate projects requiring design review, custom engineering, or shop drawings.
  • Documentation: Maintain up-to-date project records, including timelines, status updates, communication logs, and any changes to scope.
  • Site Coordination: Oversee and coordinate installation services where applicable, ensuring that all installations are completed per project specifications and timelines.
  • Marketing Collaboration: Facilitate the collection of case study images, client testimonials, and other materials for marketing and sales efforts.
  • Process Improvement: Work with Management team to continually improve internal processes and efficiencies across project workflows.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by management to support business goals and project success.

Our portfolio includes a range of premium soft architectural materials and products designed for commercial projects.

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to oversee the lifecycle of architectural product projects in the commercial sector. From the moment a standard project is designated as "Closed Won", the Project Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring its successful execution. This includes maintaining contract values, meeting project cost benchmarks, and delivering exceptional client satisfaction. You will act as the primary point of contact for clients, guiding them through each stage of the project to ensure timely completion and alignment with project goals. Additionally, you will serve as the project’s advocate and are responsible for ensuring internal milestones are met in a timely and accurate manner.

This role requires in person at our Headquarters in Auburn Hills.

Qualifications:

  • Field/Jobsite Experience: Practical experience in project management within field environments and an understanding of onsite project dynamics.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with project management tools, CRM systems, and
  • Microsoft Office Suite (or equivalent software) to manage project timelines, documentation, and communication.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to flag/address challenges and proactively manage project risks.

Success Metrics:

  • Project Approvals: The number of projects approved and ready for manufacturing within the specified timeframe.
  • Client Communication: Regular, clear communication with both internal teams and clients, tracked via CRM systems and email correspondence.
  • On-time Delivery: Successful delivery of projects within deadlines, budgets, and to client specifications.
  • Client Satisfaction: Achieving high levels of client satisfaction, reflected in positive feedback, testimonials, and ongoing business relationships.
