Job summary

BRBContractors, Inc. seeks a Project Coordinator to support the administrative and operational coordination of construction projects from initial setup through project closeout.

You will learn BRB’s coordination processes by working closely with an experienced Project Coordinator, Project Managers, field personnel, and other internal departments. During training, you will assist with all phases of coordination and gradually take on responsibilities.

• Work closely with the experienced Project Coordinator to learn BRB’s project coordination processes and procedures.
• Assist with projects from initial setup through final closeout.
• Learn administrative requirements for both plant and line construction projects.
• Develop working relationships with Project Managers, Superintendents, field personnel, subcontractors, vendors, owners, and other stakeholders.

BRBContractors,Inc.isseekingaProjectCoordinatortosupporttheadministrativeandoperationalcoordinationofconstructionprojectsfrominitialsetupthroughprojectcloseout.ThispositionisdesignedtodevelopacomprehensiveunderstandingofBRB’sprojectcoordinationprocessesbyworkingcloselywithanexperiencedProjectCoordinator,ProjectManagers,fieldpersonnel,andotherinternaldepartments.

Duringtheinitialtraininganddevelopmentperiod,anticipatedtolastapproximatelyoneyear,theProjectCoordinatorwillworkalongsidetheexistingProjectCoordinatortolearnandassistwithallphasesofprojectcoordination.Responsibilitieswillprogressivelyincreaseasknowledge,proficiency,andindependencearedemonstrated.

Followingsuccessfulcompletionofthetrainingperiod,theProjectCoordinatorwillassumeprimaryresponsibilityforassignedprojectsandmanageprojectcoordinationactivitiesthroughouttheentireprojectlifecycle.

Ratherthanspecializingexclusivelyinplantorlineprojects,ProjectCoordinatorswillsupportacombinationofprojecttypes.Thisstructureprovidesbroaderoperationalknowledge,promotesbalancedworkloads,strengthensconsistencyandaccountability,andallowseachProjectCoordinatortoworkcollaborativelywithBRB’sProjectManagers.

Training&DevelopmentPhase

Duringtheinitialtrainingperiod,theProjectCoordinatorwill:

• WorkcloselywiththeexperiencedProjectCoordinatortolearnBRB’sprojectcoordinationprocessesandprocedures.


• Assistwithprojectsfrominitialsetupthroughfinalcloseout.


• Learntheadministrativerequirementsassociatedwithbothplantandlineconstructionprojects.


• DevelopworkingrelationshipswithProjectManagers,Superintendents,fieldpersonnel,subcontractors,vendors,owners,andotherprojectstakeholdersasapplicable.


• Assistwithprojectdocumentation,tracking,communication,andadministrativerequirements.


• Graduallyassumeresponsibilityforindividualprojectcoordinationfunctionsasproficiencyisdemonstrated.


• Developtheknowledgeandorganizationalskillsnecessarytoindependentlycoordinateassignedprojects.

IndependentProjectCoordination

Onceadequatelytrained,theProjectCoordinatorwill:

• BeassignedprojectsforwhichtheyserveastheprimaryProjectCoordinator.


• Coordinateadministrativerequirementsthroughouttheentirelifecycleofassignedprojects.


• Supportbothplantandlineconstructionprojectsratherthanbeinglimitedtoasingleprojecttype.


• WorkdirectlywithmultipleProjectManagersandprojectteams.


• Maintainprojectdocumentation,deadlines,records,andrequiredadministrativeprocesses.


• CoordinatewiththeotherProjectCoordinatortobalanceworkloadsandmaintainconsistencyacrossprojects.


• Serveasanadditionallevelofreviewandaccountabilityforproject-relateddocumentationandadministrativeprocesses.

Long-TermPositionStructure

ThegoalofthispositionistodeveloptwofullyfunctioningProjectCoordinatorswhoareeachcapableofindependentlymanagingthecoordinationresponsibilitiesfortheirassignedprojectsfrombeginningtocompletion.

ProjectswillbedividedbetweentheProjectCoordinatorsbasedonworkload,projectneeds,andavailablecapacityratherthanpermanentlydividingresponsibilitiesbetweenplantandlinework.BothProjectCoordinatorsshouldultimatelypossesstheknowledgeandexperiencenecessarytosupporteithertypeofconstructionproject.
