Job summary

TelCom Construction is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the management team in maintaining project documentation, files, and permits to keep project flow efficient. This office-based role requires strong communication and basic math skills, with attentiveness to detail and independent work ability.

The position offers hourly pay, benefits, and opportunities for growth within a fast-paced environment. A valid driver’s license is required, and some travel may be needed.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in an industry related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Basic math skills including arithmetic and decimals.
  • Ability to read and comprehend production reports, work orders and prints.
  • Basic computer operating and data entry skills.
  • Experience with databases, Internet, spreadsheets, word processing, e-mail and PDF creation; Google apps preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
  • Valid Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, maintains and updates project documentation.
  • Performs various program tasks as assigned by project leadership.
  • Maintains complete project files (physical and/or electronic).
  • Sets up new projects.
  • Applies for, attains, documents and tracks project permits in a timely manner to facilitate continuous project flow.
  • Tracks project changes and scheduling delays as requested.
  • Applies industry standard and project specific units to draw appropriate conclusions regarding units placed for production and billing accuracy as assigned.
  • Collects and reviews all project documentation, prepares the final closeout package and submits to appropriate personnel and the customer in a timely fashion as required.
  • Acts as backup to other project personnel (either within the same project or assisting with other projects).
  • Participates in any required continuous training.
  • Supports all company policies, procedures and initiatives related to project success.
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

It may be responsible for a variety or specific project-related tasks as assigned by project leadership based on the needs and size of the assigned project. The Project Coordinator maintains assigned task responsibility, keeping the overall success of the project/contract at the forefront of mind.

What you’ll do

  • Acts as backup to other project personnel (either within the same project or assisting with other projects) as directed;
  • Participates in any required continuous training;
  • Supports all company policies, procedures and initiatives related to project success;
  • Some travel may be required;
  • Other duties as assigned.
What you’ll need
  • Associates degree in an industry related field or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Strong written and verbal communication;
  • Basic math skills including but not limited to addition, subtraction, multiplication, division in all units of measure and using whole numbers, fractions and decimals;
  • Ability to read and comprehend various written and data driven correspondence including but not limited to production reports, project work orders, prints, etc;
  • Basic computer operating and data entry skills;
  • Experience with basic computer software systems including but not limited to Database, Internet, Spreadsheet, Word Processing, e-mail and PDF creation; Google application experience is strongly preferred;
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks with minimum guidance;
  • Valid Driver’s license.

The wage range for Project Coordinator is $20.00 - $24.00.
