Job summary

dycomind is seeking a Project Coordinator in Canton, MI to coordinate all project operations, ensuring completion per customer and industry specs. The role requires collaboration with the Construction Supervisor, preparing statements of work, cost estimates, and maintaining As-Built maps.

The position calls for 1–3 years in telecom/construction, strong MS Office/Google skills, and reliable, independent work. Valid driver’s license and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Experience reading construction drawings and verifying production.
• Must be reliable and able to work independently.
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).
• Successful completion of pre-employment background check, motor vehicle check, drug test, and DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years of telecommunications/utilities construction experience.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite and Google Applications.
• Must have good communication skills (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate CATV projects to ensure all operations meet customer and industry specifications.
• Schedule walkouts with property owners to evaluate job specifications.
• Coordinate construction efforts with Construction Supervisor to meet deadlines and site access.
• Prepare a statement of work.
• Prepare a line item cost estimate.
• Complete and maintain accurate AsBuilt Maps for submission to Supervisor.

What you’ll do

• You will work directly for Construction Supervisor.
• You will coordinate CATV projects to ensure that all operations are completed in accordance with customer
  and industry specifications.
• You will schedule walkout with property owners to evaluate job specifications.
• You will coordinate construction efforts with Construction Supervisor for project completion by predetermined
  deadlines including site access.
• You will prepare a statement of work.
• You will prepare a line item cost estimate.
• You will complete and maintain accurate "AsBuilt Maps" for areas built to submit to Supervisor.
