LEED Electric, Inc. in Long Beach is seeking a part-time Project Coordinator to support project management and handle everyday administrative tasks on construction projects.

The role focuses on coordinating activities, preparing reports, and maintaining project documentation to keep work on schedule. You will assist with RFPs and RFIs, communicate project information to operations and administration, and archive files after project completion.

SUMMARY

The Project Coordinator supports project management as they manage the execution of the construction projects. The role coordinates activities and processes associated with the project. The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting everyday administrative duties.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare project management reports and meeting minutes.
  • Manage project documentation.
  • Facilitate RFPs as needed by Project Managers.
  • Organize and track project RFI’s for Project Manager approval.
  • Ability to support Project Managers on larger, more complex projects.
  • Communicate project information to operations and administration.
  • Upon project completion, archive project documents.
  • Assist with any other administrative or clerical duties.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND/OR ABILITIES REQUIRED

Minimum Experience: 1-year general office experience.

Degree Required: Bachelor’s Degree or High School diploma or equivalent.

Hourly Rate: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour (non-exempt) Part Time

Abilities Required
Business Skills
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion.
  • Working knowledge of company policies, procedures, systems, and operational objectives.
  • General knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, cost management, equipment, and construction methods preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience with Bluebeam and Procore is preferred.
Interpersonal Skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary to effectively communicate with clients, subcontractors, vendors, employees, and project stakeholders by telephone, email, and other communication methods.
  • Regular telephone communication with customers and business contacts is an essential part of the position.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional working relationships with employees, clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Effective interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs in a professional manner.
  • Ability to exercise professionalism, initiative, and independent judgment consistent with the responsibilities of the position.
Working Conditions
  • Work is primarily performed in an indoor office environment and may require prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, typing, bending, reaching, and using standard office equipment.
  • The work environment typically includes standard office conditions, including fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
  • Noise levels are generally low to moderate.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 15 pounds may be required.
