Job summary

Inside Edge Commercial Interior Services is seeking an entry-level Project Specialist to kickstart a career in project management within the construction industry. You will coordinate smaller projects, under guidance, while receiving hands-on training and mentorship to develop skills for future opportunities.

The role includes collaboration with internal teams and contractors, with a strong emphasis on learning fundamentals of project execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Passion for the construction industry and a desire to build a career in project management.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Internship or academic project experience in construction or project management is a plus but not required.
  • Previous experience managing multiple projects at one time.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in coordinating smaller projects, such as repair work and small rollouts, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to quality standards.
  • Support project planning, scheduling, and resource coordination while learning the fundamentals of project execution.
  • Monitor progress on assigned tasks and communicate updates to the project team and stakeholders.
  • Participate in structured training programs and on-the-job learning opportunities to build knowledge of project management practices and construction industry standards.
  • Shadow experienced project associates and managers to understand workflows and responsibilities involved in larger projects.
  • Proactively seek feedback and guidance to accelerate personal and professional growth.
  • Learn about construction materials, processes, labor requirements, and equipment to build industry knowledge.
  • Develop an understanding of installation techniques, timelines, and best practices to ensure project success.
  • Work closely with internal teams and contractors to align on project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment, supporting shared objectives and company values.
  • Assist in maintaining positive customer relationships by ensuring projects meet expectations.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and requests with professionalism and a commitment to delivering excellent service.

Inside Edge Commercial Interior Services is the premier name in nationwide commercial interior construction projects, specializing in seamless remodels and refreshes, as well as new construction. For 20 years, we've been the leader in nationwide flooring installation for the Retail and Senior Living markets. Our execution has been conducted at a centralized location utilizing proprietary project management software and third-party sub-contractors called service providers (SP’s).

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Project Specialist is an entry-level role designed for individuals eager to start their career in project management within the construction industry. This role reports to the Manager, Project Support & Development and focuses on coordinating smaller projects, such as repairs and small rollouts, while providing hands-on training and mentorship to develop skills and prepare for future opportunities within the organization. The Project Specialist works under the guidance of senior team members, gaining exposure to the fundamentals of project management and construction processes.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES
Project Support
  • Assist in coordinating smaller projects, such as repair work and small rollouts, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to quality standards.
  • Support project planning, scheduling, and resource coordination while learning the fundamentals of project execution.
  • Monitor progress on assigned tasks and communicate updates to the project team and stakeholders.
Training and Development
  • Participate in structured training programs and on-the-job learning opportunities to build knowledge of project management practices and construction industry standards.

Required:
