Job summary

A regional project management organization is seeking a Project Coordinator to assist in executing projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will serve as a liaison between teams and stakeholders, monitor resources, and provide administrative support. A high school diploma is required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office. Familiarity with Alaska Native Corporations and logistics in rural areas is a plus. The position may require travel and physical activity in cold conditions.

Job description

We are seeking a Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the execution of projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Assist project managers with scheduling, managing documentation, and maintaining project plans.
  • Communication: Serve as a liaison between project teams, stakeholders, and clients to ensure everyone is informed and aligned on project goals and progress.
  • Resource Management: Monitor resource availability and allocation to ensure project tasks are completed on time and within budget. Supports project managers with expense tracking and invoicing.
  • Task Coordination: Assign and track daily tasks for team members, ensuring deadlines are met and issues are addressed promptly.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular updates and reports for project managers and stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and any necessary adjustments to the project plan.
Required Skills
  • Must have good communication skills
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and SharePoint
  • Must be highly organized
  • Must be familiar with Alaska Native Corporations, government contracting, land management and logistics in rural Alaska.
Education & Certifications
  • High school diploma or GED

Physical Demands

Works inside and outside. Ability to bend, reach, lift and carry up to 25 lbs. Can work effectively and safely in cold conditions. May require travel in helicopter, aircraft, ATVs, and watercraft for short periods of time.
