Job summary

Ulteig Engineers in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Project Controls Scheduler to develop, manage and control project schedules for utility scale transmission energy projects through development to commercial operation. You will collaborate with the client’s project teams and Ulteig project management to keep schedules accurate and transparent.

This role requires 3 years of scheduling experience, proficiency in Primavera P6, and the ability to work onsite three days a week (Tue–Thu).

Qualifications

  • 3 years relevant project scheduling experience in utility, energy, construction or engineering.
  • Experience using Primavera P6 is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with project management and client leadership.
  • Proven leadership, time management, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prepare clear status updates and reports.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, monitor, and update project schedules for efficient project execution.
  • Manage schedules with critical path, relationships and milestones.
  • Assess impacts to the schedule and develop corrective action plans.
  • Track scope changes, trends, and variances affecting schedule performance.
  • Present schedules to management, teams, and client leadership.
  • Attend and facilitate project/management meetings as required.

Job description

The Project Controls Scheduler will work collaboratively with an external client and their project team to develop, manage and control project schedules, reporting and administration for utility scale transmission energy projects in various life-cycle phases from development through commercial operation. Candidate must be able to work collaboratively with Project Management and the client’s project teams. This position is located in Amarillo, TX and is not open to remote locations.

What You'll Do
  • Develop, monitor, and update project schedules so that projects can be executed in the most efficient manner possible
  • Manage numerous project schedules evaluating critical path, schedule content, relationshipsandlogic, constraints, and milestones
  • Assess impacts to the schedule critical path activities; report deviations and variances and assist in the developing action plans for corrective measures
  • Track scope changes, trendsandvariances that potentially affect schedule performance
  • Track, manage, report change control for project scope and schedule
  • Present project schedules to project management, project teams and client leadership
  • Document and track project meeting actions as directed
  • Attend and facilitate project/management meetings as required
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with client and project team
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership, verbal/written communication, time management, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Consistently produce results that meet goals, have high work standards, and understands the business environment and processes
  • Achieve results byproblem solving, setting priorities and organization

What We Expect from You
  • 3 years relevant project scheduling experience in the utility, energy, construction, or engineering field
  • Experience using Primavera P6 is required
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communication with project management and client’s leadership
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership, verbal/written communications, time management, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Must be able to prepare clear and concise status updates and reports as required
  • Proven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrates openness to innovation by embracing and applying evolving technology and AI tools to enhance workflows, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement
  • Ability to work onsite three days per week (Tuesday - Thursday)
  • Must have permanent work authorization for the US

Target Base Compensation Range for this role is $96,500 - $130,500

* Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your job specific skills, education, training, job location, number of years of experience related to this role and comparison to other employees already in this role

This position will be posted for a minimum of 3 days and will continue to be posted for an average of 60 days until a qualified applicant is selected or the position has been cancelled.
