ABOUT THE ROLE

The Project Controls Specialist will provide analytical and management support for a healthcare facility project at Mayo Clinic's Rochester, MN campus, covering over 2.0 million square feet. The role involves data analysis, budget planning, problem-solving, and research, requiring the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO
Financials
  • Prepare and report on monthly project revenue with the Regional Controller, reviewing variances for project and firm leadership.
  • Develop profitability forecasts, review staffing and schedules.
  • Review contracts and invoices for accuracy against budgets.
  • Assist in managing team workload, interpret data, and produce project reports.
  • Facilitate work plan, budget, and schedule development with Project Managers.
  • Oversee project invoicing and collections, maintaining financial records.
Communications
  • Maintain positive client relations throughout the project.
  • Prepare complex spreadsheets and database reports.
  • Coordinate information gathering and research efforts.
  • Assist in maintaining communication with clients and internal teams.
  • Draft correspondence related to payments.
  • Summarize schedule and cost info, including graphics for high-level audiences.
  • Navigate multiple data sources for accurate reporting.
Project Team
  • Collaborate effectively, fostering a positive team environment.
  • Monitor work progress and ensure adherence to standards.
  • Help develop efficient processes.
Contracts
  • Understand contractual obligations and help ensure scope delivery.
  • Communicate with clients for approvals and payables.
  • Assist in contract drafting and schedule analyses.
  • Maintain contractual records and reports.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • Associate's degree in Business, Construction Management, or related; Bachelor's preferred.
  • At least 8 years' experience in project control activities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with MS Office, MS Project, PowerBI, Deltek Vision, and scheduling applications preferred.
  • Professional business attire required for client meetings.
  • Travel required.
