Job summary

HDR is seeking a Project Controls Specialist to help shape transportation projects. You will establish work breakdown structures, develop schedules for multiple phases, and monitor metrics while coordinating with cross-functional teams. This role supports HDR's Transportation Business Group and employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in construction management or engineering.
  • 5+ years in project controls on engineering/construction projects.
  • Certifications such as PSP, PMP, PE, CM, EVP, PMI-SP or CST are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Establish WBS and develop/maintain complex project schedules.
  • Coordinate with project team members across disciplines.
  • Develop and monitor project metrics.
  • Participate in project coordination meetings.
  • Conduct project site visits as applicable.

In the role of Project Controls Specialist, we'll count on you to:

  • Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in project controls work on engineering and construction projects (or equivalent), preferably including planning, estimating, forecasting, scheduling, cost control, schedule control, and project reports
  • Certifications (one or more): PSP, PMP, PE, CM, EVP, PMI-SP, CST
  • Ability to interpret construction schedules

  • Coordination and prioritization of multiple long and short-term tasks
