Job summary

HDR is hiring a Project Controls Analyst in the United States (California - Folsom). You will support scheduling, cost control, and documentation across multidisciplinary engineering projects within HDR’s Building Engineering Services Group.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and coordination skills, with experience using MS Project, Primavera P6, and Excel to manage project controls data.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years' experience in multidisciplinary engineering design and construction.
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple long- and short-term tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Use processes and tools established on projects.
  • Develop and assist in preparation of schedules.
  • Prepare various reports.
  • Coordinate information flow between project participants, including subconsultants, and client.
  • Demonstrate understanding of project controls tools including Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Microsoft Project, etc.
  • Assist in costs estimate development and review.
  • Monitor, update and review financial data.
  • Coordinate and maintain project documentation.

  • Demonstrate understanding of project controls tools including Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Microsoft Project, etc.

  • Coordinate and maintain project documentation
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction, engineering or related field
  • Certifications (one or more): AEP, CST, CCT, CACM, CMIT, CDT, PSP, EVP, PMI‑SP, EIT
  • Ability to interpret construction schedules
  • Skilled in Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6
Required Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in multidisciplinary engineering design and construction
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple long- and short‑term tasks simultaneously
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem‑solving abilities
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee‑owned culture is a must
