Job summary

Thompson Construction Group, Inc. seeks a field-oriented data analyst to monitor project schedules and costs at assigned sites, review drawings, and report deviations to management while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will collaborate with project and site management, prepare comparison reports and cost estimates, perform takeoffs, and assist in scheduling using Excel and Primavera P6 while reading blueprints and coordinating with clients and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree preferred or 5+ years of construction experience.
• Strong understanding of process systems, structures, and construction technology.
• Excellent Excel skills and familiarity with Primavera P6.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly with supervisors, clients, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Project Management and Site Management to meet schedules and costs.
• Interface with other construction departments to provide scheduling data for change requests and estimates.
• Calculate material/work requirements (takeoffs); monitor progress by area.
• Prepare comparison reports, charts, and tables for project analysis.
• May draft construction schedules; enter and correct data in the computer.
• Assist in developing primary schedules and maintaining hour forecasts; report variances.
• Assist in analyzing work progress and developing craft productivity reports.
• Compute cost factors and prepare estimates for planning, bids, and vendors.
• May develop schedules for small portions of a project under supervision.
• Consult with clients, vendors, or others to discuss and resolve issues.
• Assist in organizing and generating billing reports.
• Other duties as assigned.
