Audubon is seeking a Project Controls Manager to join our team in the Houston, TX Office. The role oversees planning, scheduling, cost estimating, cost management, progress analysis and reporting to meet project scope.

Responsibilities include developing and directing the project controls program, staffing and assigning billing rates, and ensuring compliance with client requirements while safeguarding safety and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required.
• 6+ years related experience or equivalent working knowledge.

Job description

Audubon is currently seeking a Project Controls Manager to join our team in our Houston, TX Office. The Project Controls Manager provides technical guidance, support and supervision for the Project Controls Department's functions of planning, scheduling, capital cost estimating, cost management, progress and performance analysis and reporting, as required to meet project scope and job requirements by performing the following duties and responsibilities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for the safety of those being supervised and ensures compliance with established safety policies, procedures and practice safe work habits.
• Responsible for performing Project Control activities and/or supervises the overall project controls requirements for a project or assignment.
• Develops implements and directs the complete Project Controls program for the company and for projects.
• Responsible for all hiring, promotions, terminations, compensation changes, approval of leave requests, timesheet and expense approval, and assignment of appropriate billing rate for their staff
• Prepares Schedules of Activities, Execution Plans, and Staffing Plans based on Execution Strategy.
• Implements the Work Breakdown and Project Coding Structure to ensure data is converted correctly from the original estimate to the Project Control system.
• Analyzes variances in cost and schedule performance against the plan and communicates variance resolution plans and proposed mitigation plans to Project Management.
• Contributes to and approves the project proposal efforts for cost/scheduling and estimating requirements.
• Performs reviews of project profit recognition.
• Provides evaluation of opportunities with management.
• Determines the project scope of Project Controls services.
• Prepares and issues the Project Controls section of the Project Execution Plan and Project Procedure Manual.
• Defines the Project Controls Execution Strategy to accomplish the execution functions of planning, scheduling, cost/finance management to meet project scope and job requirements.
• Advises project management on strategies to increase profits and identify potential exposure areas and mitigation plans.
• Participates in development of the Project Business Plan and coordinates Commercial Alignment activities.
• Interprets contract conditions to ensure compliance with Client requirements for Project Controls activities.
• Responsible for Bi-weekly reporting to the Director of PCEE.
• Participates in Monthly Management Review of selected projects.
• Conducts regular project controls staff meetings.
