Job summary

TechServ is seeking a Project Controls Specialist to support engineering teams with budgeting, financial tracking, billing coordination, and operational reporting.

The role collaborates with the Manager of Engineering, Project Managers, and Accounting to maintain project data, identify financial concerns, and guide decisions across multiple programs. A strong Excel skillset, budgeting experience, and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in project controls, accounting, or related roles with budgets and reconciliation.
• Knowledge of costs, labor charging, forecasting, and budget variance analysis.
• Strong Excel skills and multi-source data reconciliation.
• Experience with accounting or project reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain project budgets, funding, and financial tracking.
• Monitor labor hours and costs against budgets and scope.
• Develop cost and revenue forecasts with project managers.
• Prepare billing summaries and assist month-end reviews.
• Maintain dashboards and project reporting tools.
• Verify data accuracy across project and accounting systems.
