Job summary

TechServ is seeking a Project Controls Specialist to support engineering teams with budgeting, financial tracking, billing coordination, and reporting. You will work with the Manager of Engineering, Project Managers, and Accounting to maintain accurate project data and drive informed decisions across multiple programs.

The role emphasizes budgets, forecasting, and dashboards, with strong Excel and Vista experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in project controls, project accounting, or financial analysis with budgets and reconciliations.
• Know-how of project costs, labor charging, billing, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Strong Excel skills including formulas, lookups, PivotTables, and data reconciliation.
• Ability to investigate discrepancies and drive corrective actions.
• Detail-oriented with ability to meet recurring deadlines across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain project budgets and financial tracking.
• Monitor labor hours and costs against budgets and forecasts.
• Coordinate with Project Managers to update cost and revenue forecasts.
• Review invoices for accuracy and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Maintain project records in Vista and related systems.
• Produce dashboards showing production, milestones, and status.
