Job summary

Exelon Corporation in Illinois seeks an experienced Estimator to prepare bottom-up cost estimates for Substation, Transmission, Distribution and Gas projects, using detailed phase documentation and robust assumptions. You will collaborate with project teams to refine costs and support budgeting and planning.

You will conduct forecasting, KPI tracking, and cost analysis, update unit costs, and participate in estimate challenge meetings with stakeholders to ensure accuracy and Lessons learned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or Technical Field.
• 2-4 years related experience or 3-6 years if no degree.
• Ability to build high or detailed estimates from various inputs.
• Strong interface with management and cross-functional teams.
• Experience with estimating software and cost analysis concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop Phase 1, 2, and 3 project cost estimates in WBS format with assumptions.
• Model, forecast, trend, and perform variance analysis on estimates.
• Maintain material and labor unit costs for estimates and KPI tracking.
• Update estimates for each phase and participate in peer reviews.
• Work with project managers to ensure estimates are understood, challenged and reviewed.
• Prepare for and participate in contractor estimate or bid review meetings.
