Job summary

Turner is seeking an Experienced Civil/Construction Project Engineer to manage information, budgets and schedules on a major Augusta project. You will supervise engineers, interns and clerks, coordinate with architects, subcontractors and owner reps, and ensure work aligns with contract documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus four years' related experience; reads and interprets contract documents, drawings, specs, schedules.
• Proven written and verbal communication abilities; proficient with computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Utilizes leading-edge technologies such as BIM and LEAN.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Acting as liaison with Architects, Subcontractors, Consultants, Suppliers, Inspectors and Owner's Representatives.
• Overseeing and making decisions related to contract drawings and subcontract information.
• Managing the project budget.
• Managing submittals and shop drawings; assessing conformance to contract specifications.
• Negotiating Change Orders; obtaining approval and resolving conflicts.
• Overseeing the close-out process and preparing final records.
• Supervising Assistant Engineers, Engineering Assistants, Plan Clerks and Interns.
• Preparing Scope of Work documents for trades.
• Developing reports and coordinating meetings.
