Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a driven Project Controls Specialist Student to gain immersive, real-world experience with foundational Earned Value Management and scheduling knowledge.

Under supervision, you will help develop basic cost and schedule baselines, collect monthly progress data, analyze variances, and support forecasting and reporting to project leads. You will interface with project teams and learn our controls environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Currently enrolled and taking courses towards a Masters degree.
• Basic understanding of Earned Value Management and project scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Develop basic cost and schedule baselines.
• Collect and analyze monthly cost and schedule progress.
• Identify and assist in analyzing variances for basic complexity projects.
• Support forecasting techniques and risk reserves.
• Prepare routine financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with safety programs and internal procedures.
