Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a driven Project Controls Specialist Student to support cost and schedule baselines, gather progress, analyze variances, and assist in financial forecasting for projects of basic complexity.

Under supervision, you will help update data, monitor schedules, prepare routine cost reports, and contribute to Earned Value Management and project controls implementation while following safety and internal procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; currently enrolled pursuing a Masters degree.

Responsibilities

• Support the project delivery team by developing basic cost and schedule baselines and collecting monthly cost and schedule progress.
• Analyze variances for basic projects and update risk reserves in forecasts; report in standard formats to leads or management.
• Assist in implementing financial controls, procedures, systems and forecasting techniques.
• Gather project progress data from project team members to monitor project baselines.
