Job summary

AltaGas is seeking an Associate Project Controls Specialist to ensure accurate project documentation and support financial analysis, reporting, and planning across engineering and capital projects.

You will collaborate with project managers to develop performance metrics, monitor variances, and prepare dashboards for leadership. The role requires building data platforms and maintaining records in SharePoint and other systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years experience in project controls or PM/engineering context.
• CAPM certification preferred.
• Strong data management and documentation control experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify, design, test and implement new performance metrics and reports for project control.
• Monitor and analyze project financial performance to identify variances and risks.
• Provide insights to improve budgeting, forecasting accuracy, and project efficiency.
• Prepare dashboards and status reports summarizing performance, risks, and KPIs.
• Provide data to PMs to update status and impact on portfolio.
• Support budget planning for annual and long-range capital programs; maintain Copperleaf portfolios.
