Job summary

AltaGas is seeking an Associate Project Controls Specialist to ensure accurate project documentation and to support financial analysis, reporting, and planning across engineering and capital projects. The role links data management with project performance to drive efficiency and reduce risk.

You will collaborate with project teams to design metrics, monitor financials, and prepare dashboards for leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 2+ years experience or higher apprenticeship with related experience.
Document controls background preferred.
CAPM certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Identify, design, test and implement new performance metrics and reports for project control.
Monitor and analyze project financial performance to identify cost variances and risks.
Provide insights to enhance financial planning, forecasting accuracy, and project efficiency.
Prepare dashboards and status reports summarizing performance, risks, and metrics for leadership.
Provide data to Project Managers to update project status, timelines, budget, and resources.
Support budget planning for annual and long-range capital programs.
