Job summary

United Utility Services in Canton, MS is seeking a Project Controls Analyst to support cost control, scheduling, and analytics across a wide range of power infrastructure projects. You will coordinate with project teams, finance, and operations to ensure projects stay on time and within budget, delivering accurate variance analyses, forecasts, and dashboards that drive informed decision-making.

Qualifications

Detail-oriented; proactively investigates underlying details to understand project risks/issues.
Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to diagnose and solve problems within limited time frames.
Maintains good relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Efficient at data capture and analysis using enterprise systems.
Proficiency in Primavera P6 (P6).
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Bachelor of Science in Project or Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
2+ years of project scheduling experience preferred.
2+ years of project cost controls experience.

Responsibilities

Drive monthly close with cost and revenue accruals; prepare variance analysis for relevant periods.
Collaborate with Project Managers to develop EAC templates and forecasts.
Identify risks and opportunities from recurring forecast analysis and communicate to stakeholders.
Support process improvement initiatives in financial systems, project financial control and reporting.
Perform analytical review and arithmetic checks of cost reporting documents.
Prepare accurate variance analyses and management reporting.
Prepare/Support Internal Project Review presentations for management.
Monitor costs and manpower weekly; ensure actuals align with budgets and correct job numbers.
Assist with Change Order processing and cost transfers.
Lead weekly/monthly Project Status Reports for stakeholders.
Ensure invoices are billed per contract and reconcile billings.
Process cost transfers as required.
Prepare ad hoc reports as requested.
Other duties as assigned.
