Job summary

MasTec Civil seeks a Project Controls Accountant to integrate accounting discipline with project controls across heavy civil and infrastructure programs. You will manage job costs, accruals, forecasts, and executive reporting to ensure data integrity across ERP and project systems.

The role emphasizes advanced Excel and Power BI, with experience in large capital programs and accurate forecasting. Join a Fortune 500 contractor focused on roads, bridges, and complex transportation projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required or strongly preferred.
CPA, CPA candidate, or equivalent designation preferred.
5+ years in project controls, cost control, or capital program management.
Strong Excel, Power BI, and ERP familiarity.

Responsibilities

Maintain and reconcile job cost records: budgets, actuals, commitments, accruals, and forecast reporting.
Develop cost forecasts using actuals, commitments, and schedule-driven cost exposure.
Validate progress, change orders, and commercial implications with proper documentation.
Produce weekly/monthly project controls and financial reports and dashboards.
