Job summary

GVI Inc. seeks a Project Control Analyst to support Federal Government contracts from our Norfolk, VA location. The role focuses on monitoring project financials, cost accruals, billings, and forecasting in coordination with Program Managers.

Qualifications

• Two years of project control experience required.
• Experience with GAAP and FAR preferred.
• Understanding of revenue recognition concepts preferred.
• Detail oriented with ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and maintain understanding of project structure, cost accruals, billings and financial reporting.
• Manage project setups and understand government contract requirements.
• Ensure invoices are billed per contract and reconcile billings for each CLIN.
• Prepare monthly project accruals and coordinate between Accounting and Project Managers.
• Analyze actual costs and correct improper cost allocations as needed.
• Maintain project tracking spreadsheets for actuals and forecast.
• Analyze unbilled balances and report as required.
• Ensure timely reporting of all project financial information.
• Review and code supplier invoices and voucher corrections with AP.
• Assist PMs in monthly revenue forecasts and CDRLs.
• Review contract funding levels for limitation of funds notifications.
• Provide pricing assistance for existing and new opportunities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

GVI Inc.,a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking aProject Control Analystto join our Team inNorfolk, Virginia.

Position Overview:

Under general supervision and in accordance with established policies and procedures, the Project Control Analyst will support the management and administration of multiple contracts supporting the government. This role will monitor project financials and provide support to various Program Managers.

Position Responsibilities:

• Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the project structure, cost accruals, billings and financial reporting.
• Responsible for project setups and able to understand requirements of a government contract.
• Ensure invoices are billed in accordance with contract requirements and reconciles billings for each CLIN as required.
• Prepare monthly project accruals, acting as liaison between Accounting personnel and Project Managers to ensure all monthly expenses are accounted for.
• Analyze actual costs and understand if improper cost allocations have occurred on assigned projects; assist in correcting as needed
• Maintain project tracking spreadsheets to record actuals and forecast.
• Analyze, understand and report on assigned unbilled balances when needed
• Ensure the accurate and timely reporting of all assigned projects related financial information.
• Review, code and submit supplier invoices and voucher corrections to Accounts Payable, as needed.
• Assist Project Managers in preparation of monthly revenue forecasts and CDRLs
• Review of contract funding levels for contract-required limitation of funds notifications.·
• Provide assistance on pricing existing and new opportunities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• BS/BA degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance, or equivalentexperience required.
• Two years of project control experience
• Deltek CostPoint Project Control Experience is required.
• Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (GAR) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) preferred
• Understanding of revenue recognition concepts preferred
• Must be detail oriented and able to work within specified deadlines.
• Strong personal computer skills, including detailed working knowledge ofExcel capabilities.
• Strong written and verbal communications, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical abilities.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and requirements.
• Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear ability to take ownership of issues and pursue potential resolutions through to completion.
• Able to work both independently and in a team environment.
