Vincere's client in Sunnyvale, CA seeks a Project Buyer for computer systems and embedded rugged electronics. You will manage purchasing activities for components, boards, enclosures, materials, and outside services, coordinating with manufacturing, sales, engineering, and suppliers.

This contract-to-permanent on-site role offers a competitive hourly rate and requires 5+ years of electronics purchasing experience and strong vendor management skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement or buyer/planner work.
• Electronics manufacturing environment experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to manage PO schedules, supplier communication, push-outs/pull-ins, ship dates, and production updates.
• Experience working cross-functionally with manufacturing, sales, engineering, suppliers, and document control teams.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets.
• Experience in an ISO 9000 environment.

Responsabilités

• Source components, develop vendor relationships, and manage purchase orders for electronics.
• Coordinate push-outs and pull-ins and track order status.
• Resolve invoice and supplier issues and support cost reduction initiatives.
• Help implement lead-time reduction and safety stock programs.
