Job summary

Aventia seeks a Project Accounting Technician to support transactional project accounting activities, including billing, project setup, data entry, and coordination with project managers. This role requires accuracy, organization, and strong communication to ensure project and billing information aligns with client contracts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s preferred.
• Experience in accounting, billing, or project accounting is required.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems and Excel proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project setup in the accounting system including terms and billing methods.
• Generate and submit invoices per contracts and milestones.
• Maintain project financial records in Deltek and other systems.
• Coordinate with project managers and internal staff for documentation.
• Support accounts receivable and collection efforts and monitor outstanding invoices.
