Job summary

GMA in Richmond Heights, MO is seeking a Project Associate to support design-build projects. The role focuses on site and space planning, code review, and producing architectural documents for permits and construction.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field, with experience in AutoCAD, Revit, and 3D modeling. Multi-family experience is highly preferred; on-site collaboration with project managers is required.

Qualifications

  • Multi-family experience highly preferred; Commercial/light industrial experience preferred.
  • Ability to develop preliminary designs into construction documents.
  • AutoCAD and Revit experience.
  • Ability to develop presentation drawings (colored site plan and elevations).
  • 3D modeling/rendering preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide site and space planning for construction project managers
  • Review building code, local zoning, and park covenants
  • Prepare presentation drawings as required
  • Attend client meetings, coordinate with construction project managers, structural, electrical, and civil engineers
  • Review project scope with construction project managers
  • Produce architectural documents for permit submittal as well as construction
  • Review and coordinate construction documents content with construction project manager and consultants as it relates to projects

GMA partners with a top ENR design-build firm to provide services including creative design, project management, ADA/code compliance, building assessment and reuse, additions and renovations, historic preservation, master planning, interior design, space planning, structural analysis and design, and construction administration.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
  • Provide site and space planning for construction project managers
  • Review building code, local zoning, and park covenants
  • Prepare presentation drawings as required
