Job summary

GMA Architects in Richmond Heights, MO is seeking a Project Associate to support site and space planning, code reviews, and presentation drawings for construction projects. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and consultants to develop plans through permit submittal and construction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field required.
  • Multi-family experience highly preferred; commercial/light industrial experience helpful.
  • Ability to develop preliminary designs into construction documents.
  • AutoCAD and Revit experience required.
  • Ability to develop presentation drawings (colored site plan and elevations).

Responsibilities

  • Provide site and space planning for construction project managers.
  • Review building code, local zoning, and park covenants.
  • Prepare presentation drawings as required.
  • Attend client meetings, coordinate with construction project managers, structural, electrical, and civil engineers.
  • Review project scope with construction project managers.
  • Produce architectural documents for permit submittal as well as construction.
  • Review and coordinate construction documents content with project managers and consultants.

GMA partners with a top ENR design‑build firm to provide services including creative design, project management, ADA/code compliance, building assessment and reuse, additions and renovations, historic preservation, master planning, interior design, space planning, structural analysis and design, and construction administration.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
  • Provide site and space planning for construction project managers
  • Review building code, local zoning, and park covenants
  • Prepare presentation drawings as required
  • Attend client meetings, coordinate with construction project managers, structural, electrical, and civil engineers
  • Review project scope with construction project managers
  • Produce architectural documents for permit submittal as well as construction
  • Review and coordinate construction documents content with construction project manager and consultants as it relates to projects
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field
  • Multi-family experience highly preferred. Commercial/light industrial experience preferred
  • Ability to develop preliminary designs into construction documents
  • AutoCAD and Revit experience
  • Ability to develop presentation drawings (colored site plan and elevations)
