About The Role

The successful candidate will be a high-level specialist performing in a Project Architect role, responsible for leading the development of all technical aspects and content for large, complex projects or multiple smaller projects. This includes coordinating work across disciplines to ensure integrated deliverables and verifying compliance through team collaboration.

Here's What You'll Do
  • Manage the critical path process to lead the project team through all technical and production aspects from initial stages of pre-design through project completion.
  • Lead engagement with the Office or Project Quality Leader for general and targeted project support.
  • Lead the integration and development of all technical aspects and content of the work, translating them into our instruments of service.
  • Work with the Project Manager to establish and maintain realistic work and labor plans, deliverable schedules, and ensure financial and contractual obligations are met.
  • Participate in and contribute to the Project Risk Assessment process, proactively identifying, communicating, mitigating, and resolving project-related issues.
  • Guide and assist Project Architects in developing Project Quality Plans, managing project quality, milestone reviews, and technical charettes.
  • Review and lead the execution of documentation strategies for each project phase.
  • Collaborate with the Project Design Lead to align design aspirations with client goals, budgets, schedules, and team efforts.
  • Lead the translation of design intent through technical documentation and construction phases.
  • Integrate building performance and sustainable design goals into holistic solutions.
  • Monitor project documentation for compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Assist in Life Safety, Building, and Energy Code analysis and compliance.
  • Coordinate disciplines to ensure alignment with the architectural design intent.
  • Collaborate with the Model Manager to ensure quality in model processes and content.
  • Lead the alignment of contract documentation, verifying content with the Project Specification Writer.
  • Oversee Construction Administration responsibilities, including RFIs and submittals.
  • Monitor, train, and direct project team members, focusing on quality and process standards.
  • Meet established utilization targets and support office quality efforts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Here's What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.
  • Minimum 10 years of related professional experience, including 5 years in construction documentation on institutional or commercial projects and at least 3 years in construction administration on large projects.
  • Experience on Healthcare projects is required.
  • Experience on large, complex projects.
  • Current Architectural Registration in the United States required.
  • CDT and LEED accreditation preferred.
  • Strong focus on quality, knowledge of building codes, and business acumen.
  • Excellent client leadership and technical leadership skills.
  • Ability to lead and mentor staff, with advanced discipline knowledge.
  • Strong communication skills, proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and construction management software.

The salary range for this position in the Chicago office is $100,060 to $136,223 annually. Compensation may vary based on experience, education, and location.
