ABOUT THE ROLE
The successful candidate will be a high-level specialist in a Project Architect role, responsible for leading all technical development and content for a healthcare facility at Mayo Clinic’s campus in Rochester, MN. The role involves coordinating work across disciplines to ensure integrated deliverables and verifying compliance through team collaboration.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage the critical path process, leading the project team through all technical and production aspects from pre-design to project completion.
- Engage with the Office or Project Quality Leader for support.
- Develop and translate all technical aspects of the work into our instruments of service.
- Work with the Project Manager to establish work plans, schedules, and ensure financial and contractual obligations are met.
- Participate in and contribute to the Project Risk Assessment process, proactively managing issues.
- Guide Project Architects in developing Project Quality Plans and managing project quality.
- Oversee documentation strategies for project phases.
- Collaborate with the Design Lead to align design aspirations with client goals, budget, and schedule.
- Translate design intent through technical documentation to project completion.
- Integrate building performance and sustainable design goals into the project.
- Monitor documentation and compliance with contractual requirements.
- Assist with Life Safety, Building, and Energy Code compliance processes.
- Coordinate disciplines with architectural design intent.
- Monitor quality of model processes and content.
- Ensure contract documentation aligns with project specifications.
- Manage Construction Administration responsibilities, including RFIs and submittals.
- Supervise and mentor project team members, focusing on quality and standards.
- Meet utilization targets and support office quality efforts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including 5 years in construction documentation and 3 years in construction administration on large projects.
- Experience on large, complex projects.
- Current Architectural Registration in the US.
- Preferred: CDT and LEED accreditation.
- Strong focus on quality, knowledge of building codes, business acumen, client leadership, and technical leadership.
- Excellent communication skills, proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and construction management software.
- Professional business attire for client meetings and willingness to travel.
