Job summary

CetraRuddy Architecture seeks an experienced Project Architect to join our team in New York. You will serve as the technical lead on assigned projects, ensuring drawing set quality and completeness across all phases, while coordinating with clients, consultants, and vendors to deliver projects through construction administration.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience, licensure preferred, and a proactive problem-solving approach.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture; Master's preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 8 years of related experience.
• Licensure strongly preferred; if not licensed, actively pursuing licensure.
• Demonstrated ability to produce a comprehensive, coordinated drawing set.
• Experience completing construction administration on at least one project.
• Knowledge of building codes, zoning, jurisdictional processes, materials, specs, and construction techniques.
• Experience leading coordination with structural, MEP, and other consultants.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead for assigned projects, responsible for the coordination, quality, and completion of the drawing set across all phases.
• Act as task leader on large-scale projects, structuring deliverables and work plans.
• On smaller projects, act as project manager with schedule, deliverables, and client communication under partner direction.
• Oversee coordination with outside consultants and vendors, resolving cross-discipline conflicts.
• Participate in client meetings, presenting deliverables and answering questions with limited oversight.
• Lead construction administration, including submittal and RFI review, site observations, and field reports.
• Research and apply building codes, zoning regulations, and accessibility requirements; coordinate with expediters and agencies.
• Ensure adherence to QA/QC processes and drawing standards.
• Mentor junior staff and interns in technical areas.
